Event Photographer Cardiff – Capturing Bro Radio Community Awards 2024

As an Event Photographer Cardiff, I had the privilege of documenting the Bro Radio Community Awards 2024 at the stunning Penarth Pier Pavilion. On 7th June 2024, this landmark venue was alive with excitement as the Vale of Glamorgan gathered to celebrate its unsung heroes. Sponsored by Chris Davies Estate Agents, the evening showcased the remarkable individuals, groups, and organisations making a lasting impact on our community.

For me, providing event photography in the Vale of Glamorgan is about more than just images — it’s about capturing atmosphere, emotion, and unforgettable moments that will be remembered long after the night ends.

A Night of Celebration and Recognition

This year marked the awards’ return after a short break, celebrating 15 years of Bro Radio. Hosted by evening show presenter Patrick Downes, the ceremony honoured achievements across charity, sport, business, and education.

Patrick summed up the evening perfectly:

“Our awards returned after a couple of years break, to celebrate fifteen years of Bro Radio serving the Vale of Glamorgan, and it’s our opportunity to congratulate local people in the third sector, business, community, and sport for the outstanding things they do.”

Behind the Lens: Event Photographer Cardiff & Vale of Glamorgan

As the official photographer, my aim was to capture the heart of the evening — not just who won, but the emotions behind each moment. From the anticipation of nominees to the joy and relief of winners stepping on stage, these are the details that make an event unforgettable.

The Bro Radio Awards were a perfect example of why professional photography matters: these images not only preserve memories but also give organisations and sponsors lasting visuals to share across websites, social media, and future promotions.
