WHAT IS A CAKE SMASH?
A cake smash photoshoot is a fun way to celebrate your baby’s first birthday. Your little one is presented with a specially made cake and encouraged to explore, taste and play in their own unique way. From tiny fingers dipping into the icing to joyful giggles and messy faces, every moment is captured to show their personality and this special milestone.
CREATING YOUR PERFECT CAKE SMASH SCENE
Before your session, I’ll work with you to choose a theme that suits your baby and your family. Together, we can decide on backdrop colours, cake style and props to make the shoot feel personal and prepared before you arrive.
BOOKING YOUR SESSION
To secure your chosen date and time, a £50 non-refundable booking fee is required. This is deducted from your chosen package, so everything can be planned in advance for your little one’s big celebration.
WHAT TO EXPECT
Your cake smash session lasts around 1 hour and usually starts with portraits, followed by the cake smash itself. Depending on your package, we can finish with a splash bath session for more smiles and a cleaner journey home.
WHAT TO BRING
Please bring a change of clothes for your baby, wipes, and a drink or snack if needed. Everything else, including backdrops, props, outfits and, depending on your package, the cake, can be arranged for you.
IN THE STUDIO
Your session takes place at my purpose-built studio in Dinas Powys, just a short drive from Cardiff, Penarth and Barry. The studio is fully equipped with professional lighting, a wide range of backdrops, props and baby-friendly facilities to make the experience comfortable for you and your little one.
