Canada Lodge and Lake wedding photographer, David and Sophie’s Enchanting Wedding at Canada Lodge and Lake.

✨💍 On Thursday, 20th June 2024 — the summer solstice — David and Sophie exchanged vows in a truly unforgettable celebration at the stunning Canada Lodge and Lake in Creigiau, Cardiff. A 12:30 pm ceremony under summer sunshine, surrounded by lake views — it was picture perfect.

As a wedding photographer in Cardiff, I’ve captured many weddings, but there’s something especially magical about Canada Lodge and Lake. Its serene water, woodlands, and elegant event spaces make it one of my favourite venues for romantic outdoor wedding photography and golden-hour couple portraits.

A Pastel-Dream Theme & Elegant Details, Canada Lodge and Lake wedding photographer.

David and Sophie’s pastel theme infused the whole day with softness and romance. Every detail felt thoughtful, from the resin flower arrangements to the pastel table decor.

Guests were welcomed by stunning floral displays from Best Buds by Samara, who designed arrangements that perfectly complemented the lakeside setting.
Elegant chair covers came from Sit N Pretty, adding class and charm.
The flower wall and luxury charger plates were styled by A&J Entertainment and Events, creating a glamorous backdrop.
Cariad and Amore Wedding Events supplied runners and napkins, while Paper Date Wedding Stationery designed bespoke signs and table names that tied the theme together beautifully.

Music, Magic & Evening Spectacle

The mood was set by Nerys Clark’s beautiful cello during the ceremony, and during the wedding breakfast, Andy Jackson’s saxophone performance added sophistication.

To delight guests, magician Adam James Reeves wowed with his tricks, while PFS Entertainment brought the drama with fire breathers, love fire hearts, and sparkling cold sparks.

Sweetness by The Cake Cwtch

The wedding cake, crafted by The Cake Cwtch, was a true centrepiece — both visually stunning and delicious. Renowned for their bespoke creations, The Cake Cwtch once again delivered a masterpiece.

Evening entertainment continued with a blackjack table and magic mirror from The Little Events Company, while social media creator Next Chapter Content captured the atmosphere and ensured every special memory was preserved for the couple to treasure.

Bridal Beauty

Sophie looked radiant thanks to Amore Hair Boutique Penarth, who styled her hair, and Kirsty Rowlands, who perfected her makeup. Her elegant dress and veil from Laura May Bridal completed the timeless bridal look.
